Two weeks after winning Oscars, "Up" and "The Cove" received additional honors Saturday at the 24th annual Genesis Awards, which honor media depictions of animal protection issues. "The Cove," which chronicles the slaughter of dolphins by fisherman from a Japanese village, was named outstanding documentary film. Just as quickly it surfaced, a rumor of a Glee stage show maybe be headed to Broadway, has been shot down by those grumps at Fox. A representative for the network tells Variety that there have been no talks between Fox and licensing company Music Theater Intl., as previously reported. "We are very careful and deliberate when contemplating brand extensions of our franchises," said Fox spokesman Chris Alexander. Anyway, they're too busy working on the Family Guy on Ice to bother with this.
